Fabric Applique - Mother Love

Here is a fabric picture I did a few years ago. It is fabric applique edged in machine satin stitch. During that time period, I would never let a raw edge of fabric show in my work! Now many fabric artists work entirely in raw edge applique, and I often do, too.

For those who saw or commented on my last post, I reshot the photo and I think it looks a lot better now!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

This is such a lovely piece! I find it funny that you mention the thing about the raw edge applique. I, too, was guilty of trying to achieve perfect appliques with no strays peeking out. I am so glad we have been liberated. I agree, the photo in the previous post does look much better.

My mouth fell open when I saw this...it is just too beautiful...what is the size?...and "Sunday Best" now shows lots of depth, which the prior post didn't

I am looking at this post again...and wondering who, if anyone, was your inspiration for this piece

This is sooooo sweet! I always have to laugh when I come here because I feel like I'm very familiar with your work and yet you continually amaze me!

I am up now because Bear is getting ready to do hi milkman thing. I listed 20 things that I love about fall on my site. Then I went over to The Inspired Room and started reading all of the other contributions. There are quite a few. Immediately, I thought of you and how much you would enjoy these links. So, here is the site:

Thank you, Ladies, for the nice comments! The piece, framed, is 11"x14" and not inspired by any particular person.
Frazzledsugarplummum, I'd love to respond to your comments, but have no way of reaching you! But, thank you!!!
