Daffodil Time!

My dear friend Elaine, who does beautiful paper cutting, made this card for me several years ago when I was going through a difficult time. I can remember how delighted I was when I opened the envelope and unfolded this sunny frieze of daffodils! It really cheered me up!
Now I love to take it out in the springtime. It's a lovely piece of art and it reminds me how very fortunate I am to have such a wonderful friend!

What fun to see my Mumsie's daffodils on your post, Judy! She's a very clever girl, eh? And one of the many things she taught us kids was to use up every scrap of paper/fabric/colored pencil. No wasting at her house! Do you suppose that's where my fabric stash tendencies come from? I cannot part with the tiniest scrap! Thanks, Judy, (and Mom) for this fun memory.

Oh, these daffodils made my day! I planted daffodil bulbs after my Dad passed away and they're all in bloom now. I feel a daffodil quilt coming on.
