Happenings Along the Way

Bill and I were in Toronto last weekend, visiting our daughter in her new home. After a flurry of shopping, exploring and visiting, we prepared for our return to Boston. I didn't feel well, developed a fever and chills, so we delayed our homecoming by a day. Upon arriving home, I discovered that my leg was bright red and swollen, and we were off to the hospital before we had even unpacked!
It turned out to be a strep infection and I spent the rest of the week on IV antibiotics. Here are some of the accoutrements in my hospital room, including a little spider I watched crawling around the wall for hours!
I'm back home, still recuperating, but feeling much better!!
Hope all my blogging friends are doing well and having a great weekend!

Judy

Thanks so much for your concern, everyone. As I said, I'm doing much better now. No one can say where the infection came from - any cut or bug bite could have caused it, but it had spread from ankle to knee! Yikes is right, Karen! :-)

I am glad you caught the infection in time and also happy that you arefeeling better. Great sketch too. Isn't it crazy what our world gets reduced to in a moments notice?

Oh Judy that is scary! Strep infections can really be bad, I'm so glad you caught it early, and be sure to keep an eye on it that it stays gone!

Glad you had a nice visit to Boston.

Well, glad you are better! Nothing like an episode like this to make you appreciate your "regular" life even more. I've just enjoyed reading about your reorganized studio...bravo! I need desperately to do the same thing, and will. Thanks, too, for your visit to my blog today...your comments just made my day! Take care, pat
