Happy September and a Giveaway!

I've been working on sprucing up my blog for the fall and even embroidered a new banner for the top. But when it came to photographing it, certain little critters couldn't resist getting into the act! How could I resist the crooked photo with Rosie's paw in it for a header?
After wrestling with the new Blogger template designer, but wanting to keep things simple, this is what I've come up with for now!

Meanwhile, I've decided to have a giveaway!

This is a machine stitched, hand painted and beaded picture which I pulled out of my "to be completed" drawer! I added some shading and finished it up for this giveaway.
It is 7" square and mounted on a piece of stiff matboard so that it can be placed on a shelf or table, or hung on a wall.
If you would like to "win" it, please leave a comment or send me an email if you don't have a blog. I'll mail it anywhere, and I'll choose a name on Wednesday, September 8.

Hope everyone is enjoying the week - it's scorching hot here in New England!!!

Oh what a lovely giveaway! I love it- those flowers remind me so much of my mother as they were her favorite and we always has them our window sill growing up. Your work is so beautiful. And the PAW- oh it kills me! I LOVE it so much. So charming.

take care :)

What are those flowers called? It's driving me crazy- african violets? The petals are fuzzy...

Yes they are meant to be African violets, Lori, just as you thought! I hate it when I can't think of names of things like that! (It happens often!)

Oh, Judy! I´d be delighted to hang your work close to my purple and pink violets in the new home! So pretty! Hope to be the "winner"! Tks.

Very pretty this banner you´ve been working on.

Hello there. I have never come across your blog before but I think I am hooked right away. I love Angus and Rosie and I definitely would have chosen the banner photo with her paw on it as well. Your work is beautiful and unique and I look forward to visiting here often!

That cup of african violets is lovely! And that banner with paw is full of personality!!! haha. I like what you have done in the past with the houses done in fabric. Truely, you are gifted in whatever medium you choose.

I love this little teacup embroidery. It would make a wonderful gift for my daughter who collects teacups. Thanks for the chance to win.

Also I love your banner. The paw is so perfect. Those of us with kitties of our own can certainly relate to their love of our craft and sewing projects.

I'd love to win. It's chilly and wet here but I must say I prefer that to scorching hot.

Hello Judy!

What a lovely giveaway! Thank you so much for inviting me to take part:o) I am keeping my fingers crossed for good luck!:o)

I love your new banner, and know just what you mean about using blogger's new templates. I tell you I had a time and a half trying to get it right!:o) I am a crafter not a computer person...LOL I too prefer it all to be simple and to the point.

Happy day to you dear Judy:o)

Smiles....
