Lily

Although I've been concentrating on landscapes this month, I also finished a mixed media portrait of my friend's granddaughter, Lily. I used a combination of paper, fused fabric, ribbon, buttons, paper lace,  Pigma pens and colored pencils. Lily herself liked the results and I've heard that she's been looking at it and saying, "That's me!" I must have done well if she recognizes herself!

I have always been so blown away by your ability to render people with fabric. This one has a timeless, storybook quality to it. Really lovely!

This is one of the sweetest portraits I've ever seen. I should think Lily and her Grandmother are delighted beyond words.
You are such a talented and sensitive lady.

What a beautiful portrait! So very sweet. I'm glad that the real Lily loves it, too.

Your landscape looks wonderful and I have to laugh at the way we can be our worst critics.

I cannot wait to see your hydrangea in full bloom. There are a lot of hydrangeas here at the farm, but I'll be missing my beautiful blue ones (and one purple) in Cleveland. Summer really is just one joy after another in the garden.
