Paper Portrait: Emily

I love to make "portraits" of imaginary people and then create little stories about them.

I'd like you to meet Emily.
She's a sweet girl, rather shy, but a very loyal friend to those who get close to her.

She plays the flute, writes poetry and likes to draw pictures of wild flowers.

And, once in a while, if you're at the park on a Saturday morning,
you'll see Emily, wearing jeans and a baseball cap,
speed skating with her friend Duane.

There's more to Emily than meets the eye!

Judy,
Emily is so alive for me, even without her description. Her face expresses perfectly her sweet nature and loyalty. I wish she were my neighbor so I could invite her in to play with Dovey and Mya. I just know Mya wouldn't be the teensiest bit afraid of her.

Judy, you really should be writing children's books. What creative energy you have.
