Junk Mail Collage!

Last Friday I took the day's junk mail and recycled it into this collage.
(The scraps went into our normal recycle bin.)

Now isn't this more fun than regular recycling? I may do it again.

Also, I came across this school photo of myself this weekend,
and got a kick out of the similarity between it and my profile picture!
Just a FEW year's difference!

In my Catholic school uniform, hair - already curly -
made more so by rollers, maybe 6th grade.
A fun find!!

Hope your week is getting off to a great start!!

What a great idea to make a collage out of junk mail - and a very good job you made of it too. By the way - love the curls Judy!

So impressed by your collage. I've painted OVER junkmail before but never used it for itself like this. Wonderful!! (Adorable picture!)

That uniform brings back memories, Judy. We wore a white blouse with an open pointed collar and no tie, but the top of the jumper was the exact style. Ours were what was called maroon, more liver colored I'd say! What color was yours?
Sweet smile, sweet girl.

So clever! I've saved postcard- type junk mail for painting over and/or color inspiration, but I love what you did with yours!
I may have to try this too-

Cute photo!

oh- reading on- I love Matisse, too. His colors...they speak to me. I was fortunate to see some works in the Hermitage in Russia back in '79, and then bought a print at the Met Museum of Art exhibit in NYC, in 1986. It is hanging in my dining room, and I love it as much as I did back then.

Lovely job of recycling, or would that be upcycling, annoying junk mail!

Sweet photo of you, too!

Hello Judy,

What a lovely collage dear friend! The kitty is beautiful!

What a sweet smile and I love the curls. I must one day share one of my old grade school photos. :) I think what strikes me the most is just how much hair styles have changed over the years. :) Thanks for sharing this sweet photo with us.

Enjoy a lovely weekend my friend.

Smiles♥

Beverly

Very clever paper piecing. It is amazing how many different and pretty patterns can be found on the insides of envelopes.
You have not changed a bit!!
