Sun Worshipper

Kristy has been sprawled on the dining room chair in this precarious position for quite awhile this morning. When I'm at home, I move the chair as the sun shifts and she basks to her heart's content.
Right now she has a bad cold which has been coming and going for months. This afternoon I'll be taking her to the vet for an injection of antibiotics.
She is about 14 years old, weighs less than 6 pounds, and is a wonderful furry companion. Most people think she is a kitten when they first see her! We adopted her from a shelter when we lived in NY - she was about 1 1/2 years old and when we saw her our hearts melted. She was drinking water from her paw, which she had scooped into the water bowl! Lately I've noticed her doing the same thing with my water glass, which I left on the coffee table!! New rule - no water glasses left uncovered anywhere!!!
She's a sweetie, though, and we really love our Kristy!

  2. Wow, she really is a small cat. We have one too that is smaller than the rest and still reminds us of a kitten, even though she's now 3. She was at the vet the other day and I was surprised when she weighed in at nine pounds...definitely big compared to Kristy.

  3. Thank you for your kind comments on my posts.
I enjoyed learning about your beautiful cat, Kristy, and love those back paws of hers...like little white knee-high socks. :-)

  4. She is a beautiful cat. All that sun worshipping keeps her looking young I think.

  5. I hope Kristy feels better soon. My Mabel loves the sun as well. There is something about Cats and The sun which go well together.

  6. what a tiny kitty she is! i like how relaxed her back leg is. (Lucky girl to have you help her chase the sun.) I sure hope Kristy is feeling better soon...and that her change of drinking behavior just is mischief rather than kidney problems.
