Trees and Kitties

Yesterday I made a little fused landscape, which made me let out a sigh of relief, since I have been experiencing a creative lull. When I don't allow myself the time to be creative, I feel very stifled, but the stress from that keeps me from letting loose with my ideas! Does anyone else have this problem?

Then, although it was a rather cloudy day here in New England, I had the brilliant idea of photographing Rosie and Angus with a cat shaped watering can I have on the porch.
Here's how it went:

Angus is not interested;

Well, maybe...

Rosie is being fairly cooperative...

HAS to investigate the camera,

But prefers to be photographed alone;

Here is the only photo I could get of all three...

and then it was time to hunker down for a nap!

Hope everyone has a great week!!

  4. I love your little landscape, and hope it will unglue you from your artistic block so you can go on to create some more lovely works. The photos of the kittens are so cute...and so typical of them not to cooperate with your attempt to get them to be photographed near a "prop." I laughed out loud at the curious little snout filling the frame.

  5. Oh, Judy, I do love those birches. And I'm pretty sure we all get stuck now and again.

    Your kittens have turned into real rascals. They are adorable, and I'm glad you're having such fun with them!

    Take care. xoxoxoxo

  6. I just think those cats are so sweet!

    It is a creative conundrum! I want to make something but I am too freaked out and stressed to start! Story of my current life. Starting anywhere doing anything is the solution I think:)

  8. Oh those kittens! I can barely take it! I am so happy your home is filled with cat love again. I am loving your new piece too. And I DO know what it is like when I do not give myself enough time to be creative. Creatives need big blocks of time. A little here and there does not work for me. Wishing you the best with that. And those kittens- sigh. Warms my heart.
