Although I've been concentrating on landscapes this month, I also finished a mixed media portrait of my friend's granddaughter, Lily. I used a combination of paper, fused fabric, ribbon, buttons, paper lace, Pigma pens and colored pencils. Lily herself liked the results and I've heard that she's been looking at it and saying, "That's me!" I must have done well if she recognizes herself!
That's a beautiful piece. No wonder she likes it!
ReplyDeleteI have always been so blown away by your ability to render people with fabric. This one has a timeless, storybook quality to it. Really lovely!
ReplyDeletelovely portrait,Judy elaine l.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the sweetest portraits I've ever seen. I should think Lily and her Grandmother are delighted beyond words.

ReplyDeleteI've just left a comment on your other blog. Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful portrait! So very sweet. I'm glad that the real Lily loves it, too.
ReplyDeleteYour landscape looks wonderful and I have to laugh at the way we can be our worst critics.
I cannot wait to see your hydrangea in full bloom. There are a lot of hydrangeas here at the farm, but I'll be missing my beautiful blue ones (and one purple) in Cleveland. Summer really is just one joy after another in the garden.
Thanks for all the great comments. I really appreciate them. Hope to have some new work on here soon.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your artwork, Judy. It so defines you as a person. It is lovely, just like you.
