I love to make "portraits" of imaginary people and then create little stories about them.
I'd like you to meet Emily.
She's a sweet girl, rather shy, but a very loyal friend to those who get close to her.
She plays the flute, writes poetry and likes to draw pictures of wild flowers.
And, once in a while, if you're at the park on a Saturday morning,
you'll see Emily, wearing jeans and a baseball cap,
speed skating with her friend Duane.
There's more to Emily than meets the eye!
love it :)
ReplyDeleteStay inspired!
Your little girls are always so sweet! I bet we are going to meet Emily's friend soon:)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful paper portrait. She looks as though butter wouldn't melt!!! x
ReplyDeletecute, love the little story that goes along.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your comments! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this little story and your illustration. Wonderful! Thanks for introducing Emily.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! What a sweet face, and love the collar and button detail :)
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteEmily is so alive for me, even without her description. Her face expresses perfectly her sweet nature and loyalty. I wish she were my neighbor so I could invite her in to play with Dovey and Mya. I just know Mya wouldn't be the teensiest bit afraid of her.
Judy, you really should be writing children's books. What creative energy you have.
