Today I'm posting a peek at a landscape that is in progress. Right now it is fused fabric with a hand painted sky. I worked on it a bit this morning, but have a long way to go with it - adding more details, machine stitching and hand embroidery. The white on the top and bottom is the batting to which the pieces are fused.
So far so good with AEDM! I'm off to a quilt show in New Hampshire today, where I hope to find lots of inspiration!!
Have a creative day, everyone!!
Ooooooooooh ~ how creative and very colorful ! ~ thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy CED ^_^
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the quilt show. I do love going to them, big or small. After all the purging of fabric you've done, giving away and all, isn't there room for a teensy bit new to add to your stash?
ReplyDeleteLove the landscape so far and kudos on staying with AEDM.
you're on a roll, judy!
ReplyDeletehave fun in NH. xo
WOW! Gorgeous work! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it Judy!! How big is it. I have the perfect place for it above my desk if you plan on selling, just let me know. Happy AEDM :).

ReplyDeleteO my gosh! this is marvelous!! what a wonderful art form. And those golden trees in your previous post are delightful!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun at your quilt show. Are the trees still in glorious form in your neck of the woods?

Thank you so much for the comments! The quilt show today was wonderful and, Sharon, I didn't buy a scrap of fabric! The foliage this year is pretty dull, unfortunately. Michelle, right now the fabric piece is about 6 1/2 x 22. I'm hoping to finish it at 10 x 20, because I know I can get a readymade frame that size. I can email you with particulars. Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I admire textile artists - their vision, sense of color and design, knowledge, skills and patience. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning. Can't imagine how long it must take for something like this!
