Heartfelt February ~ Day 9

fused fabric, buttons, acrylic ink

This seemed like an appropriate heart for today!!

We survived the blizzard, with no problems, other than the 2 1/2 feet of snow everywhere!

We have a long driveway, and my dear husband did most of the removal with a snow blower, and I did a bit of shoveling - not very much, as I've been having pain in my wrist and hand lately.

I took this photo last night, through the screened window on our porch, when the wind was howling and snow was falling heavily! Quite a sight! We were lucky not to have lost power!

Well, I hope that everyone else who was affected by this blizzard is doing well and that all are having a very good weekend!

  2. I haven't seen that much snow at one time since Chicago 1967. I was a senior in high school and the city was paralyzed for a couple of days. I was working in a grocery store part time and walked down the middle of the main road to the store to get to work. The shelves were nearly bare from the people panicking and hoarding. No snow blowers in the good old days. Thank heaven we have them now! SO glad you had your hubby with you during the blizzard and that the power stayed on. Be cozy together.

  4. I just love this heart Judy. The bare branches and little hearts make me think of early spring cherry blossoms. Hopefully spring finds you soon!! The texture and lighting of your 'screen' photo is fantastic. Such a great effect! xx
