Signs of Spring #8

Pansies!

Last week I went to the New England Quilt Museum with friends
for an exhibit called Masters II, an exhibit of international quilts by members of
SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates). Although I took several pictures, we were asked
not to publish photos from the exhibit on blogs or Facebook.

The quilts were wonderful, and the gift shop was full of interesting items,

including hand made quilts

and wall hangings.

After the exhibit, we went out for lunch, and were greeted by
a pretty grouping of  pansies on the concrete steps of the restaurant!

Always a lovely sign of spring!

Hope your week is going well!

  1. I just planted some pots of pansies outside my front door. Definitely a lovely sign of spring!

  2. Nothing quenches the thirst for spring like pansies, Jerome's favorite. I potted some up for the front steps of the city house when I was there before Easter and brought some back with me to put on the porch here whenever Mother Nature will allow. For now they're sharing the grow lights in the basement with the seedlings and a few herbs I couldn't resist bringing home from market last weekend.
Would have loved to attend the quilt show with you, Judy.

  3. It sounds like a lovely exhibition. I love the pansies leading up the steps! I feel the urge to do something similar! x

  4. Sounds like a wonderful day. Those pansies made me smile...love them on each step. Pansies are one sale outside of the grocery store, but I think they are covered up each night, to keep them safe from frost. I'm looking forward to a time soon when I can put a few out on our doorstep!
