This is an appliqued and stitched landscape which I made several years ago. I found it recently while cleaning out my studio. It was done with all kinds of fabrics - wool, netting, decorator fabrics - and entirely machine stitched! It was part of an exhibit I did at my local library while living on Long Island, NY.
I don't know whether I would have the patience to do this now!!
Hope everyone's having a great day!
OH WOW- it is amazing. I love how you showed such lose up details of the stitching. How cool to find something that fantastic from a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteWOWZA girl! You've got skills!
ReplyDeleteThat is AMAZING!!! What was your inspiration?
ReplyDeleteLori and Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. This piece is matted and framed, but hasn't hung on a wall for a while.
Gayle, thanks to you also. When I did this, I was trying to improve my skills and put forth some of my best work for a small exhibit. Very intense stitching!!
That is such a beautiful landscape...very inspiring!
