Favorites at MoMA

Some of my favorite paintings at the Museum of Modern Art in New York:

Anna Zborowska by Amedeo Modigliani

Cat and Bird by Paul Klee

Two Paintings by Vincent Van Gogh

Goldfish and Palette by Henri Matisse

I and The Village by Marc Chagall

A Girl at her Mirror by Pablo Picasso

Repose by Pablo Picasso

There were so many more, but these are some of my favorite artists!

Well, we are certainly into the dead heat of the summer here in New England,
but there is a nice breeze today which lessens the impact.

Recently, I found this beautiful lacy blossom alongside the supermarket parking lot.

Is it a weed? I really don't know.

Or Queen Ann's Lace?
Whatever it is, I felt that I had found beauty
and couldn't resist plucking it from a weedy patch!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Thanks for the museum pics. Things I wouldn't normally get to see. I am a big Chagall fan too. I saw an exhibit in San Francisco a couple of years back. His work is just wonderful in person isn't it?

Good for you for paying attention in the parking lot! I don't know what the flowers are but they are sure pretty:)

Have a good rest of your weekend and try to stay cool.

I love looking at other artists work - I am truly inspired! You can see each one's unique style. I don't think I even have a style! The flower is very pretty. I don't have a clue to what it is though! x

So many beautiful works at MoMA, the same artists are collected at the Art Institute of Chicago. Nice to see so many old friends.
You've been smitten by one of Anne's and my favorites. The essence of summer really. It is a relative of the carrot, Queen Anne's Lace.
Glad you can enjoy a sweet breeze despite this heat. Somehow a breeze like that reminds me of a cool hand brushed across my forehead as a child.
Happy Sunday.

Thank you Libby and Simone.
And, Sharon, thank you for confirming my suspicion that my flower was Queen Anne's Lace. I feel that I continue to learn something new every day! Also love your description of "a cool hand...". How lovely.

The median strips on I-89 in Vermont are awash in Queen Anne's Lace, making them look like fairy lands.

Great photos, Judy!

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite pieces. They are lovely.

And your Queen Anne's Lace... one of my very favorites. So much of it blooming here right now. I guess it's technically a weed, but I still love it.
