I just finished up this piece for my exhibit, and had a lot of fun making it.
I want to leave the viewer guessing - is she surprised? About to burst out laughing?
Blowing a kiss?
Ever since I made Marilyn and Audrey in October, I've become enamored of
making glamorous ladies! And those fake jewels! Tacky? I don't care!
I'm having fun!
This newest lady is not famous, done in fabric and mounted on a canvas.
She started out as a "fierce" lady,
but I jazzed her up and softened her expression.
I like her better this way!
A nor'easter is coming to New England!
Cold and windy outside!
Praying that this storm doesn't add more woes to those already
so badly affected by Hurricane Sandy.
May all stay safe.

i think she looks delighted
and a little like she can't quite
believe what she is seeing
but hope, hope, hope
it's really what she thinks
it may be:):):)
makes me grin to my bones!
thanks for that,
Jennifer
I love them! Great work....Love the jewels....no tacky look there at all!! Id say it is more elegant
They are all fabulous and no the jewels are not tacky at all!
She's fantastic Judy! So much personality! xx
Your ladies are wonderful!
I think this is lovely... oh dear sums it up perfectly... it does amaze me that you make these from fabric...xx
Lovely! And Marilyn! Always love her :)
You have such a knack for faces; a very unique style. And pile on the jewels, by all means!
Stay safe and dry:)
I think she had forgotten something and then realised it was remembrance day (hence the poppy she is wearing)! Then again I could be completely wrong! She has such a look of innocence about her. x
Love her expression! And the jewelry is a wonderful touch.
So wonderful! I love the way you capture expressions and emotions in your unique and beautiful style.
They say so much!
