Daily Sketch - Barn Owl

Last night I watched a program called "Owl Power" on "Nature" on PBS. I'm fascinated with owls and the show was about two baby barn owls and their development, from chicks to adulthood. It seemed like a natural thing to sketch a barn owl today!! Not my best, but this is what I came up with!

I'm feeling like I need to see an owl in real life now! I'll have to do some research!

I hear them calling in the night from time to time but have never seen one in the day time here. Owls are indeed amazing and interesting. Love those faces!

Hi Judy,
I love your impression of the barn owl from watching the program.
We saw the same Nature program and loved it, owls are described as magical and mysterious. We were fortunate to observe and photograph the magnificent snowy owls the past few winters. I hope you have a chance to see an owl in person!

That program sounds so interesting. I haven't watched any nature shows for years and years. The face of your owl is so well done, very expressive!
