Following the example of Karen and Nan, I'm showing off my one cat relative, my sister's cat, Emily Elizabeth. My sister Carol taught first grade for 37 years before retiring a few years ago, and Emily is named after a character in the book series, Clifford the Big Red Dog!
Tomorrow I'll be posting my 200th entry on my blog. Can't believe it!

Look at those fangs in picture 2!!! She has such an innocent expression in pictures 1 and 3 though!
Oh, Emily is a beauty! I love black cats. I had one in college, named Grover (for the Sesame Street character), but somehow he ended up staying with my family in MA. When he passed away, my folks got brothers, Smudge and Bigfoot (double paws), both handsome black cats.
Thanks for the memories, Judy. And please give Emily a skritchy sratch under the chin next time you see her.
Oh, that Emily Elizabeth is very beautiful!
Emily IS a beautiful cat, Nan! Yes, those fangs are big, Simone, but she is a sweetie. Karen, I love your cat stories and I will definitely pass on your scritchy scratches to Emily!!
Emily Elizabeth is a beautiful kitty! There's something about that sequence that made me giggle...serene contemplation...toothy yawn...return to serene contemplation...the yawn seeming to say "i have these very sharp teeth and know how to use them but i am well set in the universe and just show them in a yawn as a reminder of my distinguished huntress lineage."
Very good analysis, Quiltcat! The sequence made me laugh, too!!
Emily is beautiful cat. I love how she looks directly at us with her lovely and wise eyes.
Beautiful cat. Nice capture of her different expressions.
