Stitched Landscape





This is an appliqued and stitched landscape which I made several years ago. I found it recently while cleaning out my studio. It was done with all kinds of fabrics - wool, netting, decorator fabrics - and entirely machine stitched! It was part of an exhibit I did at my local library while living on Long Island, NY.
I don't know whether I would have the patience to do this now!!

Thank you so much. This piece is matted and framed, but hasn't hung on a wall for a while.
Gayle, thanks to you also. When I did this, I was trying to improve my skills and put forth some of my best work for a small exhibit. Very intense stitching!!

That's a gorgeous fiber landscape! it looks a lot like Nan's photos of the Maine coast.
