My art for today is this cut paper "portrait" done while I was watching reruns of Project Runway (my secret addiction) last night. I loved juxtaposing this sophisticated lady with her playful cat! I know so many people whose pets are companions, children, and definitely family! (including me!)
Although it is done in cut paper, I'm posting it here for AED and will also put it on my other blog, Paper Perks.

Wow, what an amazing piece. It is so beautiful and bright eyed and not just because there is an animal involved. The lady's aura feels vibrant and I love her eyes too. Wonderful work.

I LOVE your paper cuttings! The fabric of the couch really helps the rest of the picture to stand out. I know so many people who love project runway. I've never watched it...maybe I should?

Funny, I was looking at it and imagining fabric instead of paper... then I read Terri's comment about recreating it in fabric.
