I had a very restful weekend, after being so tired when writing my last post!
Yesterday I visited the Open Studio of two members of our Artists' Collaborative. Wish I had taken photos there, as it was such a warm, inspiring space. Here are some of the items I purchased:
a fabulous pincushion, made by the artists' daughter,
and a handmade silver clay pendant and earrings. I know I will be wearing these frequently!
I'm taking a hint from my blogging friend Simone, and taking a "slow walk" to Christmas -
savoring the season and trying to get things done at a more leisurely pace than usual.
I'm also taking the month to appreciate the good things this past year has brought. I think it's a good time to do this, as we prepare to welcome a new year.
I've been blessed with good health, a loving family and wonderful friends.
How fortunate I am.
I'm planning to include something I'm grateful for in every post this month.
Here's wishing you a terrific day!

You made some lovely purchases Judy. Did you make the heart? I am glad that you are coming on a slow Christmas walk with me. If we do things little and often we can enjoy the process more rather than frantically rushing around at the last minute! I may even get some time to make a Twinkletoes!!! x
I imagine you and Simone and me walking arm in arm on a snowy December evening, enjoing Christmas lights, the scent of wood smoke in the air, caroling and then rosey cheeked and happy, sharing tea and pastries. I'm liking this idea of a slow walk.
Glad you had a chance to rest. I look forward to reading about those things for which you are truly grateful. Lovely idea for December.
What a wonderful cache of items.
Enjoy your time to just relax and "do" at your own pace:)
I would love to take a Christmas walk with you and Sharon and anyone else of like mind.
I can imagine the snow cooling my face and lifting my spirits. I can imagine the sounds of Christmas, the smell of wood burning in the fireplace, the lighted windows and streets and the feeling of good will.
I will transport myself to this place often this month when the sun beats down on me and I long for "Christmas" weather . I will think of you and all my friends with warmth and love.
Have a lovely Hoilday Season!
