The Blessing of Friends

Yesterday, I went on a drive to southern Massachusetts,
to a town in which I had lived as a new wife and mother of a sweet little girl,
many years ago.
This day's journey, a trip to visit two special friends -

The elegant Karen, whom some of you know from Sew and Sow Life,

And her wonderful mom, Elaine, who is celebrating a special birthday!

I brought a handmade pin, in Elaine's favorite colors,  as a birthday gift
and we went out for a delicious lunch ( Thank you, Karen! ).

On the way home, I thought about how much richer my life is
for knowing these wonderful women.
I have such a generous, supportive and caring
circle of friends, including those who are reading this -
it's hard to imagine life without such friendships.

I am indeed fortunate!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Judy, when you left, my Mumsie and I spoke of how much we enjoy your company...of how kind, thoughtful and sweet you are. It was a lovely day, and I am so glad we three had a chance to spend time together.

We are indeed fortunate to have a growing circle of friends, some discovered and nurtured via the internet.

So happy that you had such a wonderful day. You sure deserve it. And wouldn't we be lost without the support of friends, both in person and online?

Judy,

You are the gift that keeps on giving. All of us are fortunate to know you.

Our serendipitous meeting online after a trip to an Italian cooking school, a week apart, has reaped so many hours of joy for me. I look forward to seeing each new creation and hearing about your wonderful family and pets.

Someday, maybe we will meet in person, go to lunch and share our lives. . But if that never happens, the miles between our two coasts will not keep us from enjoying and sharing our friendship. I count you as one of my dearest friends..
